Kaz Mayeda
Kaz Mayeda is a storyboard artist with 20 plus years of experience. His international work has included mulitmedia clients from Tokyo to Amsterdam. After getting started with the “Giant Plug” board introducing Circuit City, he has been a go-to for such networks as ABC, CBS, and NBC when they want anything from celebrity depictions to dynamic sports action.
His representational, non-cartoony style has also been a perfect fit for: HBO, the Opray Winfrey Network, History Channel, Versus Sports, GameFly, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Hillshire Farm and Colgate just to name a few.
He’s given industry talks at The Academy of Entertainment & Technology, Santa Monica, California State University, Northridge and UCLA. In his spare time, he keeps trying to capture zoo animals in quick sketches.
Today he draws and colors digitally on a Cintiq using Manga Studio EX.
